I do. I heard right handed people live an average of 10 years longer and shotgun means the passenger side I believe..right next to the driver.

Since the right hemisphere of the brain controls the left side - left - handed people are the only people in their "right" minds. Shotgun comes from the western days of the wagons and stage coaches. A rider rode beside the driver with a shotgun in the ready to ward off attacks.

People who are left-handed are technically said to be sinistral, and left-handedness is sometimes referred to as sinistrality. Both words derive from sinister, the Latin word for “left”. This word in turn derives from sinus, the Latin word for “pocket” referring to the fact that the pocket in a Roman toga was on the left side, for the convenience of a right-handed wearer.
The tern "riding shotgun" goes back to the days of the wild west when stagecoach drivers needed someone to "ride shotgun" beside them in the passenger seat for protection from outlaws. However, the term "riding shotgun" to refer to the guard sitting next to the driver doesn't emerge from the Old West itself but rather from movies and TV shows about the Old West. To date no one has found a cite for "riding shotgun" during the time stagecoaches were actually used.
The earliest usage we've found in pulp fiction occurs in the March 27, 1921 issue of the Washington Post's "Magazine of Fiction," in a story entitled "The Fighting Fool" by Dane Coolidge. The first usage in print relating to automobiles, is – ready? – 1954. Dropping "riding" and using the simple "shotgun" (as in "I call shotgun") to mean the passenger seat comes in the early 60s.

It is not true that left-handed people are from a parallel universe.
Riding shotgun gets its name from the Revolutionary War when a person had to straddle the barrel of a shotgun and act as the "scope." Once the powder was loaded, the straddlers' responsibility was to aim the gun and shout "NOW!" So that's why riding shotgun has continued to be the most important job of your best friend.

The latin word for left is sinistra, from which we get the english word sinister. When the romans reclined to eat, they lay on their left side, symbolically suppressing their evil tendencies.
Riding shotgun, referring to sitting in a vehicle in the front seat beside the driver is an allusion to stagecoach days when the driver was accompanied by an armed man (actually carrying a rifle, not a shotgun) for protection against bandits.

The English terms for "right" and "left" come from Old English words for "strong" and "weak," respectively. This, of course, is derived from the fact that most people used the right side of their body for manual tasks, which led to that side of the body having a more toned and developed musculature.
Tracing the term "left" back to Latin one can imagine what many ancients thought about left-handed people; the Latin term for left was "sinister."

People who are left handed work out of the right side of their brain. Those right handed use the left side. Thus people who are left handed are the only ones in there right minds. Not my words, but the guy who said them was a MLB left handed pitcher.

The myth I heard is that left handed people are the minorities.
The truth is, left handed people are equally good as righties except that lefties are better. We tend to think outside the box because righties think commonly. Left handers are creative because I am left handed and talented too.
The myth comes from the bible (stupid book)
dont believe what it says about us.
Those people who think we are inferior are jealous, ignoorant and think that righties are "normal" people.
My friends know I am left handed and they think it is cool and have no problems with it.
