Peterson could have played in the NFL in 2004. He's the better running back, Bush is a all-purpose finesse back. To be a finesse back in the league you need to be healthy enough to take a pounding. As you can see all-purpose backs tend to be injury prone in the latter part of their careers. Bush will find out why soon enough. Peterson is a true tailback built to take 25-35 hand offs every game. Bush can't do that. He's the type of player that can do a little of this and a little of that at multiple positions. But if you want a speedy receiving threat coming out of the backfield, a guy you can line up at the slot, and a return specialist, then Bush is the man you want. It all depends on what type of a back you prefer.

That is not a hard decision. Adrian Peterson is the best all around back in the NFL. Reggie Bush will never be more than a role player. Special teams and 3rd down.

Its Hard To Compare Them Since They Are 2 Different Types Of Runners
Bush Is More Of A Speed Back and Peterson is More Of a Smashmouth Power Back

I like Adrian Peterson but he may never get a legitimate shot sitting behind Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson.

I like the Sooners - they can win it all.
Reggie Bush is probably the best RB prospect rookie in the league now since LT came out.
Petersen has REALLY good odds to win the Heisman this year.
I look forward to the day I can watch Bush go against Petersen in a regular season NFL game.

Reggie Bush, he is elusive, and still has some power to give a hit rather than take a hit. Most importantly, he is from San Diego!!!!!

Peterson if he can stay healthy. Bush is too small for the NFL.
