OK ......My mom started dating this guy for like a week and he was 28 and my mom is 41......they went out for a week but my mom never really liked him now 8 months later.....I also went out with one of his friends but we've been broken up for about 21/2 months now my mom is now dating someone else and me and her Ex started talking and now i have a problem cause i really really like him and he really really likes me i just don't know how to explain this to my mom. Should i go out with him behind my mom's back and let her find out or what Please helP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. OK....ever heard the expression "honesty is the best policy"? Its true. The truth hurts but its the best thing sometimes. I think your mom would feel more betrayed if you snuck around with him than if you came to her face to tell her. If you & your mom are close which it sounds like you are, Id sit down & talk with her & tell her the situation. If she never really liked him, as you said, then she may not be too affected by it. She would probably respect you more if you DID tell her face to face. If she did happen to like him a little bit she may be hurt at first but its nothing she wont get over eventually (not trying to sound rude). Tell her, dont let her find out the hard way. Just keep in mind though that you are seeing someone that dated your MOM! If you REALLY wanna see him that bad, make sure he is really interested in YOU & not trying to stay close to your mom on the sly.

Why do you need help so fast. Is everyone involved sitting around the computer waiting. Be honest with your Mom and in the end try and make a desision that harms the fewest people. Try and get to know a wider circle of people, too. That could prevent this from happening again.

No you shouldn't. This is your mother you are talking about. Imagine how she would feel if she found out, even if she is dating another guy it is still her ex. Guys come and go but your mom will always be there for you no matter what. No guy is worth messing up your relationship with your mom. You will find another guy.

If you are thinking about dating one of your mom's ex's - you should talk to her beforehand and see how she feels. Her feelings and your relationship with her should come before dating a guy.

Don't bother because it will end up causing way too much drama in your life. It will also cause problems in your relationship with your mother. He was with your mother and even though it was a short time he was still with your mother.
