Long story short, I went to myspaceguru.net, and all sorts of things downloaded onto my computer. Someone told me to download Spybot Search and Destroy and that's what I did. It got rid of most of the problem, but the same problems come back every time I start my computer back up to use. It seems that I have to start up and scan with S&D every time prior to using my comp. I wont even get o the pop ups that I cant get rid of. Please help me!! Before I went to this site, and got these problems, I havent had any problems with my computer, let alone pop ups. How to clean this crap out of my system without installing a popup blocker?

i agree with most of the answers, a good antispyware program will work (i have ad-aware) but i also have ccleaner (CrapCleaner) from http://www.ccleaner.com/ and it cleans everything that it thinks that you don't need, you can customize which type of file you would keep and which you could do without. and don't worry, it's free...

Hey there, There Are Several ways of fixing this problem:

1. Donwload A Powerful Antivirus AVG, From www.download.com
2. Re-Install Windows XP.
3. Do Recovery On Your PC, If Its A newer Computer you can do recovery by pressing f10 at start screen.
4. You Can Go To Control Panel---Add/Remove Programs-- And Uninstall all of the programs that might have been installed by the virus-- you will notice all of them.

F11 does not rather do something different than eliminate the status bars suitable and backside. i do no longer understand the way it may are turning out to be rid of your pop-ups, yet greater potential to you, i assume. I even have fixed some minor problems with the computing gadget yet might on no account touch the insides of it. aside - we had to deliver the computing gadget to HP whilst it crashed some months in the past. that they had it picked up, fixed and shipped decrease back at no cost interior of 5 days, yet whilst it have been given decrease back, my husband asked me why did no longer they fix the keyboard? i did no longer comprehend what he meant. It seems the N key markings have rubbed off, so the nice and comfortable button is sparkling. i wouldn't in any respect observed because of the fact I on no account look on the keyboard once I type and he does. He says it rather is been long previous in view that some week whilst we've been given it. LOL

If you are using the Firefox or Netscape, you already have a built in pop-up blocker. Anyway, you probably have adware and spyware on your pc. Spybot is pretty good, Ad-aware is also pretty good. My experience is that these programs take care of a lot of the ad-ware spware problem.

that sounds like a dumb a$$ sceam to make you buy the full version of spy bot then it will stop . but that really ticks me off that they would do that. reboot into safe mode by pressing and holding F8 down while your computer is starting up untill you see the safe mode menu goto safe mode and then goto my computer then drive c:
then programs search for the program file (the problem) and delete it then reboot it should be gone but not sure if the other problems will be gone or not either but that pop up will be gone!!
spyware doctor ($20) is what I got and I love it it saved my butt a 100 times over and also norton's anti-virus 2006 no firwall if your useing xp

Well sometimes the pop ups that downloaded on your pc accually have a website that have removel tools..
Thats how they keep from being sued. Go to.. http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/default.asp?productid=NSWPro2003&langid=ie&venid=sym
you can use this straight of the web and is safe.
after they find spyware or adware find them in your search and delete them yourself. If that dont work try opening one of the popups go to the site and see if they have the removel tools...
Good luck.. Mail me if u got more questions..

now go to the trendmicro free scans for viruses and then destroy ,,the trojans are in the startup,, and hard to remove,, but they should show in the free virus scan ,,and then the spyware scan ,,,delete ,,and then go on ,,if its faster than you,, then go to the system restore to a time before the trojan ,,,restore it and then before it can recover to start,,, run a quick scan for spyware then delete,, and go on ive seen this it act like a persons able to turn off the fire wall and the yahoo free spy ware killer and the virus scan will turn off delete virus and spys its clever but jumping behind should work if not it will destroy the hard drive one day unless the pervs using your computer to store porn or worse

Go to www.ad-aware.com and download Ad-Aware SE personal. It will not only check for spyware and adware, but viruses and registry errors as well.
