I think it's great that he just said what he thought instead of worrying about who wouldn't approve of what he said and all of that kind of crap. Like he said, "He's a man, he's 42 years old, and he knows what he has to do in this life." Basically he's telling Selig to stick the bull-s-h-i-t sensitivity training up his political correct a-s-s. Ozzie Guillen has my absolute respect for being a man and saying what he felt like saying, he's no a-s-s kisser and he's no yes man. We need more athletes, coaches, and/or managers like Ozzie Guillen. 'Atta boy Ozzie, stand up to the little weasily pricks in the media, YOU DA' MAN!

No, Bartmooby, he was just being a man and calling an ace an ace and a spade a spade. That takes b-alls, but you might have a problem understanding that considering that you are a woman. It's not the same for men as it is women. If Women have a problem with someone they just go talk all kinds of crap about them behind their back and deny it to their face. Ozzie, being the real man that he is, said what he said and he stood behind it showing great character instead of apologizing or backing down. He knew it wouldn't make too many people happy, but he said it regardless. He knew what kind of backlash he would take from the pansy a-s-s-ed public and the obnoxiously PC media, but he didn't care what they thought. Cowards and weaklings come and go, but real men survive. Women and cowards stab people unknowingly in the back, but real men will punch you right dead in the mouth if they have a serious problem with you and that's the way it should be.

I'd like to see how Ozzie feels about political correctness if a white (or black) manager or journalist threw a few Hispanic slurs at him. Somehow I don't think he'd be impressed. Name calling of this sort is wrong, regardless of the words used. As the leader of a Championship team, he is a role model, a public figure, who has the right to think & say what he wants in private. In public, he belongs to the fans, and should set a better example for all the kids who admire & worship him & his team.

Listen and you will hear the sound of no hands clapping.
A foul mouth is a foul mouth. Guillen's should be washed out with soap. There are more creative ways to put someone down.
This isn't about sensitivity, it's about common sense.
Fortunately, I have no respect for Ozzie Guillen to lose.

But this is what happens when you become a famous person. He has no right to call anyone gay, because if someone called him a ****.. he would be bitching.. He should know what it is like to be discriminated agianst.. so he should go back and remember where he came from

Ok, I missed that. What does being a firm, yet tactful human being constitute being an *** kiss? Answer? It doesn't. You argument has no validation and Ozzie should move back to Venezuela with his buddy Hugo Chavez and play cards.

I commend Ozzie Guillen. He finally had the balls to say what managers really want to say all the time. Besides, the reporter probably was a....well...you know....

i have nothing but respect for Ozzie and his team...yes, he may be a little rough around the edges, and yes, he may say some things that may hurt a lesser man, but if that media clown isn't a "fag" (and who here hasn't been called that in their lives?) then he should have nothing to worry about or have something to cry over....and if that guy was a "fag"...maybe they have a nice floral show he can cover.

I am glad that he is not worried about being PC, but he can't call a guys sexuality into question like that. When he called him an idiot, that was okay. When he called him gay, he stepped over the line.

What if a white manager said that? He'd be out of a job and blacklisted.
