Aight this is the easiest question on this site:

Turn on your computer and some how get to start up options - u do this by like clicking F12 or F10 depends on what it tells you when the manufacturer logo appears.

Select start up in "Safe Mode"

When the computer loads up in safe mode, you will see that there is a new user account called "Administrator". This will have no password but has limited features designed to fix problems.

Under safe mode administrator, go to Start >>> Control Panel>>> user accounts>>> and go to your account and REMOVE PASSWORD.

Then all you do is restart normally, log on to your account w/no password, and make a new one!!!

yee yee mad easyy

Hey there, There Are Two Ways Of Changing Password.

1. You Can Re-install Windows XP
2. You Can Go To Safe Mode, Press F8 When Starting Computer. Then When You See The Log-in Screen Into Windows, Just Type In A New Password In.

Of course, this may or not work, but...

When the computer boots up, look for the screen to display a key to press to go into a setup mode. (This usually happens pretty quick, so you need to watch for it). Once you're in the setup mode, choose to reboot your computer in safe mode. Now this isn't always the case, but sometimes the Windows password is not setup to be used when the computer is running in safe mode. If so, you can get into Windows and disable the welcome screen and/or password.

Oh yes (now that I've read the other answers) there's always the Linux boot disc option, but you'll need to know or find someone who knows what they are doing. Good luck!

Well a commonly known flaw in windows XP is human error. Most people forget to diable the administrator account, which by default has no password and allows full control of the computer.

At the login screen, press ctrl+alt+delete simultaneously twice.

This should bring up a classic login screen.
Type your name as Administrator and leave the password box blank.

Why do you want to - did you forget it, or are you hacking into someone's computer?

One alternative that no one has mentioned would be to have another operating system (one that can be run right off the CD, such as Linux) in the CD drive when booting up - all files can be accessed that way without needing to find out the password.

Hope this helps...

Go to control panel, user accounts, and check the "use the welcome screen" option. This way you just click on it and don't have to type in a password.
