No. Her dad cannot do anything if she is over 18 because she is of legal age.
Her dad does not own her. She is not his chattel property.
There are two things you can do to make sure your liability is minimized while she is staying there.
1. Make sure she has health insurance.
2. Make sure your father has homeowners insurance.
That said, her father can''t do anything about your girlfriend living there and just make sure nobody gets hurt.
Hope everything works out well for everyone.

Not if she is 18. And to respond to that last posting, simply supporting an 18 or 19 or 27 year old doesn't allow you to sue on their behalf unless they are incompetent. For example, if your child is 18, you can't even find out the time of their dentist appointment from their dentist because of HIPPA. Once a child is 18, the parent loses all kinds of rights, including the right to bring a legal action on their behalf. Of course in this whacky litigious society, anyone can file a stupid law suit for anything and you'd have to get a lawyer to defend it.

The age of emancipation is 18 in all US states.
Unless a court has ruled otherwise, she is an adult and can do whatever she wants.
Her daddy has no legal standing and cannot sue for injuries she sustains.

Since she is 18 she is of legal age and her dad can not sue for any injuries sustained by her on your premises. Only she can make a claim since she is of legal age. However, if she were to die in an accident on your premises her next of kin (her dad) could file a claim. Her death would make him the "Administrator ad Prosequendum" of her and he could collect monetary damges for the loss of his daughter.

In the state of California, at age 18, you are legally concidered an adult. Her father can't sue, but she could.

Um she's an adult now. seems like everyone can be sued for anything anyways. talk about it with her family to make sure. but she's legally an adult. She can do what she wants unless family is paying for school or they claim her on Taxes as a dependent since she's still in school.

To the best of my knowlege, no. She is legally an adult, so there fore she could move out and if something should happen to her, her father could not sue, but she could.

whether she lived there or was just a guest she could collect on your insurance if you were found negligent, just as you could. What you have insurance for. Check the policy, let her move in.

Anyone can sue for anything, but that doesn't mean they will win. I don't think her parents can sue you if she gets hurt on your property, but she can if she wishes.
