It usually depends on my stress level and the amount of physical activity I get during the day. I'm a special ed. teacher and during the school year I HAVE to have 7-8 hours a night of sleep and then a 2 hour nap when I get home from school if it's been a tough day, but during breaks when I am more relaxed I only need about 5-6 hours of sleep and feel fine.

They say that Einstein only slept 4 hours a night.I usually get 4or5 hours myself and I'm good to go.But I have one friend that has to have 9 hours a night or you can"t stand to be around her, shes a crab.It does vary from person to person if someone can't figure out how much they need by themselves all they have to do is ask their family. If they hear them say "You need to go back to bed and get up on the other side" they probably need more sleep.

5 is my bare minimum to feel alright nowdays, 7 or 8 is good, 9 or 10 feels great...when I was really young, like 18 or 19, I could go a couple days without sleep and be ok...things change, lol. I can survive on 2 and a half to 3, but not without serious impairment, and the picture isn't pretty, I assure you! :)

When it's too hot (like it's been for the past couple of weeks), I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep (if not less), but I'd like to get about 8 (at least)...

I'm good after 5, but I kinda like the semi-comatose state that comes from being in REM sleep, so the snooze button gets a workout.

Five hours is not enough for me but that's about what I get. I need about 10 hours to get a good rest.

I need about 9. I know it sounds like a lot, but that's what I usually get, and less makes me feel tired
