I wouldn't pay more than about $10 for one of those (if I was looking for one to begin with), because I don't like the way they look. I doubt they retail for more than about $20. I really doubt coin dealers would mess with them much either.

Hi. I am a coin dealer in the Midwest. This coin is just a novelty coin...technically just a $1 coin with a paint job. A lot of telemarketers and TV sellers were pushing these at stupid high numbers of $20-$30, and they just plain aren't worth that much. If you have one, I'd just keep it or give it to a kid to get him/her interested in coin collecting.
