What ever happened to former Giants player JR Phillips?

Last I heard and saw was that Phillips was playing for the Giants. We attended the same high school and it was a real honor to know that a local guy made it to the big leagues. Recently curious about his whereabouts..... thank you to all in advance..............

Looks like he was last with Colorado in 1999 and hasn't shown up since. He last played on October 3, 1999.

Phillips was threatened to be beaten up by barry bonds and since he's using steroids, phillips decided to run away!
