it was about some rodent looking things who have to save some sort of diamond or something...i think it was purple...or else they sit in some sort of torture chair that bunrs theyre eyes out...and then some dinasour things pop up and start dying or some ****...

Yeah, it's the Dark Crystal. Loved it when I was a kid. Rewatched it about a year ago and it was VERY boring.
