It's been called the game has been playedand that's that! But!!! If you notice all the people who are saying it wasn't offside hasn't seen the game (which they admit) and only saw reruns of that part. What you haven't seen is that the referee on the side has already raised the flag and so the defense took a step back and if you notice so did the swiss players except for the two players. Obviously they don't care what the referee says.. they just play the game their way.. and FIFA is letting them get away with it! If the defense was still on their positions that goal wouldn't have gone in so easily. So people who are saying that it wasn't offside is saying that swiss scored because the Koreans actually abided by the rules and stopped when the referee called it offside to change the route of the ball while the swiss totally ignored the call and decided to go on w. the game. I wonder how they sleep at night after winning such goal. It's sad to see them so proud of themselves. SAD

ok.. now the swiss really has nothing to say you should take a look at the rule of FIFA.
http://www.fifa.com/en/comp/offside.html...
it doesnt matter if the last touch came from a Korean or not.... if people are still saying it's legit regardless of THE OFFICIAL RULES OF FIFA..i dunno what else to say.. but.. that obviously your from switzerland and the whole country is behind this scheme!

OK I admit i didn't see the match live (I was watching France - Togo)
But I saw the replays of the goal, And yes I saw the Lines man Flag raised.

But players should ONLY stop when they hear the Referee's Whistle, Not the flag.

Look at it from the other point of view, What if you support SUI ?
and the lines man raised his flag for a non existing offside, and the Referee didn't ignore him (knowing the the Linesman was totally wrong)
How would that feel ?

you say:
"If you notice all the people who are saying it wasn't offside hasn't seen the game (which they admit) and only saw reruns of that part."
So ? I saw the replays, and I clearly saw the flag.
Just because I didn't watch the match live, I shouldn't talk about this Off-side?

Finally my friend,
Clear you mind and watch the replays again (if you can), But watch it as a football fan not as a Korean fan.
And I wish you can see what we saw.

- This goal was not the winning goal.

- The Koreans had a whole 77 minutes before that goal and 13 minutes after that goal to score and get into the game. They had many quality chances, but the Swiss keeper also had some quality saves

-Players should know to play the *whistle,* not the offside flag.

-The ball touched a Korean player before the Swiss player got it and scored.

-The referee has the right to overrule the calls of his assitants as he sees fit. His decision is final unless he has his mind changed by his assistants. He conferenced with the assistant and still called it a goal.

I'm not saying that he was right, but he obviously called it a goal for a reason and his assistant didn't change his mind. Like I said, Koreans could have scored and won/tied and this goal wouldn't have mattered.

At least korea 4 years ago didnt call TOO OBVIOUS OFFSIDE as a goal. But Swiss did and the co-referee agreed because he raised his flag and that is why the goal keeper didnt go for the ball when he could have easily caught the ball. So Swiss was just lucky to get away with it. But they won't last long, if they play purely with their skills only.
And being referee isn't about commenting on their opinions. It's about following the Rules.

Whatever, I really think the Swiss deserve the win and it tells us that the fourth place that the Korean achieve 4 years ago was a fluke. They were helped by the referees and yet they still proud of themselves. This time the World Cup is in Germany, not Korea. They don't have anyone to help them. What do u think about that, HUH?

I don't think it was a fluke four years ago... Japan had a home ground advantage but didn't make it far... it was the players and the coaches' hard work. The game betw Swiss n Korea.. it's just too ridiculous... i guess who would want to continue playing after such decision was made? and all throughout the game you could also see that the refree didn't make calls for handling and other fouls... HOPE they won't make it far

I totally agree with you, the Swiss bought the game and Sepp Blatter (Fifa President, which is Swiss) gave it to them for nothing.
