You can use what Kyle said or if you have a DV camcorder you can connect through an IEEE1394 firewire port. If your laptop does not have one you can buy the card at any computer store.

The product you're looking for is a video capture device. As you have a laptop, you'll probably want to buy a USB device.

You can find them at most computer places, but if you are a member, I would recommend Sam's Club - I recall seeing a very nice one for a pretty cheap price (I already had one, so I didn't buy it).

I'm looking online for some...

Wal-Mart has some good ones:
$40.78 - http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4660725
$57.11 - http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4660726

The other cool thing about buying from Wal-Mart online is that if you don't have a credit card, you can go to any Wal-Mart and put enough money on a gift card and use that to buy on their website - that's what I usually do.

Hope that helps...
