There is one called "99."

King automatic 99
All the Fours reverse
Number "10" cards -10 from the total face points
Number "9" card everything on the face stays the same

...two or more can play this game. All the aces are counted as one point. The other face cards such as the Queen and the Jacks count as ten points a piece. You start off by throwing down a card and stating what the value of the card is. The object of the game is that you can not go past "99." Each player has 4 cards in their hand and must maintain 4 cards at all times till the pile runs out. whoever "stumps" the other person by not putting down a card that will not have them go past "99", wins the game. This is a counting game. If I throw down a "5", the next player may throw down a "7", so now the combined total on the pile is "12." This goes around (or back and forth), till someone gets close to "99". Remember the cards that you can use are the ones mentioned above.

the game I know as German whist
first you deal 13 cards to each other the remaining cards are placed face down you then turn one up at a time(at this point there is no trumps) your aim is to play for your next hand when the first time you play its clubs as trumps followed by diamonds hearts spades then no trumps. So for example if the first card you are playing for is the ace of clubs you would want to win that one so you would play your highest card (not a club as you want to keep them for the next stage) if you win that one you keep it in your hand and the other player takes the next card from the pile without showing you. you carry on like this with the person who wins the card playing first until you finish the rest of the cards. you then go on to the scoring part of the game you now play with clubs as trumps and score a point for each trick won. the skill is really in the first part discarding cards you don't want when there is a poor card on offer and playing your better cards when there is a good card on offer whilst still keeping good cards in your hand for the scoring part. the winner is the most points after all four suits have been played and a no trumps round.the first person to play in the scoring part is the person who wins the last upturned card of the pile this can be vital in the no trumps round! hope you enjoy
