The referee was so unfair.

1. He ignored so many of fouls done by Swiss players

2. He ignored two handling by Swiss
This is two penalty kicks for Korea , meaning two great chances to get points.

3. The last goal was so offside
This was the most unacceptable one. There are millions of TV's going on live and he tried to cheat.
There are millions of eyes watching there.
We all saw the co-referee's flag go up, meaning OFFSIDE
But the blind referee calls it a goal. WE ALL SAW IT CLEARLY!!
IS this referee blind or what. How can that not be a offside. I would forgive for the other mistakes that he made or "cheats". But this one is unforgivable. FIFA WORLD CUP should be a fair game. IT even says on their FIFA LAWS. what's the point of having a law if no one is going to follow it. This game was so not fair. Hope that another incident like this would never happen because it breaks the nation's heart and the millions of fans watching out there as well as the players'.GO KOREA

1 Get a life already ! Excuses. I watched the game there were no such things as unseen fouls.

2 Do you know when it is apenalty ? when the handball done inside the penaltybox is deliberate. None of the handballs you say were deliberate.

3 The linesman's flag was up , clearly, Frei was in a offside position. BUT when the ball was passed it touched a Korean player on the way . Thus it turned into a pass from a swiss player to a misspass from a korean. In case of a misspass the players offside position gets nullified, even if the whole swiss team was in offside & a misspass was made. this is the FIFA rule from 2003. The ref can overturn linesman's descision. He followed the rules & was right.

Good for Korea as they got a test of their own medicine. Remember how they cheated past Italy & Spain in 2002 ? The people who said Korea deserved it need to consider these facts after 2002-
1 Korea didnt win Asian Cup Japan did
2 Korea finished 2nd to Saudis (!) in qualifiers
3 They lost 3-1 to Ghana in the build up.

How come you Koreans not say anything about how Vieira's legal goal was mistakingly ruled out ? If it stayed you would have went out much before.

The second goal was not offside. The ball was actually touched by a Korean before it reached the Swiss player. So the goal should stand. The referee really knows the rule.

Whatever referees get paid he should not get paid for that game. He completely favored the Swiss team. He should be banned from refereeing any more games. His bad calls really took the spirit out of the game. The Koreans knew they didn't stand a chance. (I hope the Swiss get knocked out of the second round. They may not be there if it wasn't for the referee)

I didn't watch this game very closely, but his interpretation of the handlings and the offside likely made him call them as he did.

-Were the handballs deliberate? Did they prevent a scoring chance in context of the moment they were committed?
-I am assuming that he overruled the offside call by his co-referee because the ball touched a Korean player before Frei got it. He has every right to overrule an assistant's call, he even discussed it with his assistant, and his decision is final.

I'm not saying that he made the correct calls, but we have to consider human err as well - you have to respect what he thinks he saw.

dorian_gray.
if you're going to go around and post the same dam n things, then you might as well just say it once. plus, read the fifa rules, and stop trying to act smart. also, lauren or whatever, if you're gonna cuss out a country, learn your grammar and spelling. just because korea won italy, it doesn't mean you should go around saying "i hate korea." (or at least that's what i think you typed)
-____-

i hate to be mean, but it's unacceptable.
korea's been trying really hard to bypass the stereotypical views just beacuse japan owned it once. plus, korea's ahead of the game by means of technology.

be reasonable.

p.s. the ref was clearly unfair. it was too obvious.

It was a stupid call, but FIFA worldcup is FULL of them. What can you do.
By the way, what utterance is Laurens attempting to make?
It sounds like Laurens went to freetranslation.com, wrote in some foreign language (other than english), and clicked "translate".

I agree it looked pretty sketchy. Especially that second Swiss goal... the offsides was signaled. Pretty indefensible.
