Yes. And the amazing thing about them is this: once they had 7 of the 10 top songs and 5 of 10 top albums on the charts in the same week. By today's standards, that makes the Beatles gods (note little g). As big as U2 is, they have never even sniffed that kind of success (and I love them, too). BTW the most "covered" song in music history is the Beatles "Yesterday." They are by far the greatest band ever, and with the fragmentation of music today, they shall remain so.

There will NEVER be a band like them again. Ever. I was 15 when the Beatles turned the world upside down!!! Not just the music world. The ENTIRE world. Every single day, for a LONG time, there was at least one article about them in the newspapers. Every day before class, that year they became world known, my friends and I would meet and talk about them. I used to make up stories about my friends with their favorite Beatle. One day I must have told a real good story...one of my friends was crying so hard (tears ='d love ) that she had to go to the clinic to calm down! I had the unbelieveable good fortune to see them in concert, in 1964. I screamed so hard, that 42 years later I am just recovering my voice, and my wits. Yes. I like the Beatles.

Absolutely. I'm old enough to have grown up with them on my top 40 radio. A lot of their music still stands up today. There are cover bands that put on the Beatles act. I saw one playing with the symphony orchestra recently. They weren't gods or anything, just had a great sound, a lot of innovation, and worked hard to produce good stuff. They were great writers, too. Paul McCartney was the leader of that band.

Paul and John were musical geniuses. They created by far the best music of the 20th century...certainly my favorite music of all time.
There is no argument here: The Beatles are the best, ever, period.
Favorite 3 albums: Rubber Soul, Sgt. Peppers, Revolver...but let's face it, they're all good..oh and a "shout out" to the person who put the "do you want to know a secret" lyrics in her answer..i love that song.
