As a doctor your son will not beable to do this for medical reasons. First of his body is only starting to take shape and form. If he starts this now it will be a life time and tair scare tissue in his body.

like any child, re direct your child to out side activitys. Have him Swim laps, play basket ball, base ball, run 2 to 4 miles a day, ride his bike 2 hrs /3 times a week.

Do the basics jump roap, 25situps, push ups, chin ups, jumping jacks.

Eat your food guide line, take a egg in a shake every morn this is very healthy for all boys and men.

add in only one candybar 2's a week..

This boy will grow up to be a fine man. Good luck

Its hard for a 12-year-old to gain muscle in a month, there bodies are still in development. I"m heard in the news a while ago about a kid that was really strong, but that family was a body builder family.

The most you can do him is take all the logical answers here and build up a work sheet. start off with a few push-ups, then some sit-ups etc. make sure that you stretch before ever doing anything.

Although it goes against established wisdom, stretching before exercise, when the muscles are cold, can lead to injury as well as temporarily weakening them. Stretching should be done after exercising.
Also, running with a back-pack full of sand will be very hard on his joints. Running is good for fitness, but counter-productive if the main goal is packing on muscle.
Press ups and pull ups are good, but gains are not impressive in boys as young as 12.

Push-ups, squats, deadlifts, hand-stand push-ups, mowing the yard, carrying bricks, and millions of other things. But, since you're 12, you're no where near hitting the critical testosterone production you need to gain muscle, so your gains will be minimal until about 16-20yrs old. Also, cram down as much health food as you can and nosh on tons of protien.

You can't. The safest way to gain muscle is working out at a gym, lifting weights, and eating right. It is a process that takes time, you can not rush muscle gain safely. You must realize consequences and risks outweigh any benefits.
