That would most likely be what natives call the Yeti and what people from the west named the Abominable Snowman.... Another name I have seen used is Alma, but I think that is a broader term for mythical human-like creatures in Mongolia.

The only mythological beast I have heard of in the Himilayan Mountains is the Yeti.
