Ok so theres this guy and he is crazy. Like suicidal crazy (and yes i had to look the spelling up on that one...well that makes it official, im a loser). So this guy jumps off this apartment building. At the same time, on floor 12, a man is holding a gun to his wife and is threatening to shoot. long story short, the man shoots the wife but misses and instead shoots the man falling outside trying to commit suicide. The man that was shot dies immediately. Now this man probably would have died anyways execpt there was a net at the bottom of the building that would have saved his life if it weren't for the bullet. So the questionis, is the man who shot the crazy guy a murder or not???

Yes not only should he be charged with shooting the suicidal man that was falling he should have an attempted murder charge tacked on to it for trying to kill his wife

Yes. Involuntary manslaughter at the least. But since he was in the commission of a felony, (holding a gun on his wife,) it might be upgraded. I'm sure there would be some variation in the charges depending on the state you are in.

He's charge of manslaughter under his belt for shooting the man, and he's also got an attempted murder charge for his wife.

Yup. Sounds like a murderer.

Murder in the third degree. He did not intend to murder the man, but it happened.

He is a murderer, no matter how he killed someone.

its attemted murder for the wife, and an accident for the guy who tried to go suicide. but it was his fault for trying to kill his wife anyway. so he's still a murderer to me.

i dont think so because it sounds as if he was trying to shoot his wife and not the suicidal( i had to refer to your spelling to spell suicidal, so i am a loser too.) dude. so i would classify it as an accident. i guess, well maybe it would be a murder because the suicidal dude would have lived, but he wanted to die any way, i dunno actually.... ***confused!***
