If you can help it do not go bankrupt. Go to a credit councilor and they can help you get the bills lowered and the interest lowered. It is way better in the long run. Since you have three kids have your wife start an in home daycare also that will allow her to take care of the ones you have and make a good living.

Try looking for another, better paying job while you are working. Contact the creditors ahead of time and let them know you are in a dire situation. Most will work with you. as a last resort contact a bankruptcy attorney in your area. But the govt has make it hard to do. you have to go through stages now like to a credit counselor and then file. by then your credit is ruined anyway. Hope this helps

you won't be eligible for anything but Chap13 - and that's a five year program.....it's not worth it.....If you are current with everything....that's when you call and ask for a temporary reduction in interest rates and partial payments....and unfortunately, lose the cable, internet, cell phones....those are not real necessities and when you're struggling hard choices have to be made sometimes....

but it's better to be upfront w/ your creditors than wait until you've been late on your payments. Good luck.
