I would encourage you, that as you begin your planning for college to interview local vet's in your community. Ask them about what a day in the life of a vet is like. What school did they go to? What schools do they recommend?
It's key that you get a good insight as to the field of study you want to go into. That way you can make a well informed decision and be confident that its right for you.

You need to ask yourself what you want to do for the rest of your life. If you want to be a vet, then look for the best pre-vet college. Don't base your decision on the name of the school alone. Go to the college that is right for you.

go to a land grant state college for pre-vet program...most of the people who I went to HS with went to UMass for undergrad pre-vet track (since we were from MA) and then it's onward and upward from there
