I am wondering what was your first song you learned on the guitar and which song do you want to learn? (and from what band too) I want some ideas for me learning the guitar.

all i tought myself without looking at any sort of music is 1 warm-up song i had to do in choir (but all these were played on the piano) and the other 2 were intervals. which is forest gump and nbc

I dont quite remember the first song i learnt. was a long time back
i really wanna learn the song ytse jam by dream theater. pretty tough. regarding ideas for you, i reccommend strongly that you learn from the net. dont buy guitar videos. its jus a waste of time.. everythin you ever wanna know is on the net. start off slowly and remember to have fun on the way. keep in mind that it music is an ocean and that nobody has ever got to the other side. its vast.
try learnin the basic chords first and then try fittin in the more complicated ones. remember the guitar is the easiest instrument to learn for the beginner and the most difficult to master. bon voyage.....!!!

Actually, I learned "Micheal, Row The Boat Ashore" from a Mel Bay book. Not very exciting, but it taught me chord progression and three basic chords so I could start writing myself.

i dont know if you like them but the first song i learned to play on the guitar was dare you to move by switchfoot. i wana learn the bass for holiday by greenday
