You don't say which search engine you are using. However, I hope this will help:

1) If you are using Windows XP, the search terms are stored in your user profile (if you have set one up). If your daughter has a separate user name on that PC and logs into that rather than into yours, she will not see any of your searches (or certainly shouldn't do).

2) If you have the Yahoo Toolbar or the Google Toolbar, on both of them there is a little dropdown next to the Logo. If you click there you will see a menu with "Clear Recent Searches" or "Clear Search History". There is a similar functon in the MSN Toolbar. If you don't see this facility on the Yahoo toolbar, click on the Pencil icon next to Y! and select Toolbar Options ... In the dialog box there should be an option to Clear Search History when exiting IE.

3) Clearing the History and Cookies: Choose menu item Tools and Internet Options. On the General Tab there are the options to manage Cookies, Files and History. Clear all of these to delete traces of recent sites you have visited.

4) If you never want to see a list of recent searches and web sites visited, go to Tools, Internet Options and on the Content tab, click the Autocomplete button and uncheck the Web Address box.

5) If after doing these, you still see previous searches listed - for example in the search box on the Google web page itself, then I'm afraid I haven't found a way of clearing that. I believe that it's contained in the User Profile but it doesn't seem to be a cookie or anything in the Google folder so I am stumped for the moment. The most secure way would be to set up a separate User name for your daughter. She would be able to customise it the way she wants, for example by having her own desktop wallpaper and so on.

It does not sound like a message of doom yet then you certainly might ought to study the log to confirm what it has to assert with regard to the state of your equipment. in specific circumstances a application or a technique can get trapped in a loop and generate a great logfile because it consistently sends the comparable message repeatedly. study the log and then delete it.

Well I guess you have been using explorer to search for a 4 legged friend.

How about emptying those temp files as you would normally do along with cookies (right click on explorer etc) when you finish your search
