Everyone is different and some of us have a high pain tolerance. I have 6 kids and never ever took anything for pain. My longest labor was 2 1/2 hrs. number two was 1 1/2 hrs. By the third one, I was dialated more than half way and still didn't feel a thing, the next one was out in 2 pushes, the 5th one, I walked around the block to the hospital and it took the same, 2 pushes and the last litterally came out without pushing and he beat the doctor! we tried to wait for the doc but it was too late. At least we made it to the hospital around the block!
You must be like some of us. Good luck and soon you will have that innocent in your arms!

You don't have too much longer to go. Yes i have had three kids. My first daughter i felt everything. My son it wasn't until the end i really felt anything...just a lot of pressure and when he crowned is when i yelped some. My third was a breeze, didn't feel much but some pressure when time to push. You're a mommy though, you'll know when your in labor and when it's time. I have a feeling everything will go great. Good luck and congrats!!

Castor oil doesn't work. Well, maybe in the sense that it causes diarrhea and dehydration, and dehydration can cause contractions? Great! Nothing like being weak and dehydrated and unable to control your bowels while you're trying to deliver a baby!
I think your doctor is right: different strokes for different folks.
If you like and trust her, rely on her judgement. You're almost done.
Hang in there.

all i can say is your doctor is right :) Noone can tell you if you will feel contractions.
I went through the whole labor without pain medications, so like you see it's different from other women that are screaming for meds :))

This too shall pass, as does everything. Hang in there. Keep busy with your 6 year old. If you can spend as much time as possible with this baby the time will pass more quickly until the new baby arrives. Good Luck!!

It could be right different strokes for different folks, but the most important thing I would suggest is to maintain your eating habit and drink more liquid such as water and exercise properly to keep you in shape while situation as such your in to.
