I have done this twice! Lol!!! One of the times I had my phone in my pocket and thought it would be a good idea to sit in a water fountain at the park to cool off. Soooo not a good idea! I forgot that I had my cell in my pocket. I also washed my husbands cell phone in the washer. Lol!!!!

I took my phone apart, blew into the openings with my mouth. Like really short, forcefull puffs. Do it in the mouthpiece, ear, speaker....so on so forth. Anywhere there are holes that lead into the phone. Then let it sit for a few days. The sprint cell phones never recovered completely. Mine almost came back to life but it finally gave up. My husbands phone wouldn't even charge up after it's bath. The (AMAZING) Cingular phone, (the one I sat in the fountain with for about five minutes)....was completely dried out and working perfectly in about two hours. My point is that it all depends on the phone. I liked sharing my stories. Honestly, they should make cell phones more durable. Good luck with yours! :)

I did the very same thing. Take out the battery. Let it dry for a couple of days. If you try to turn it on before it's dry, you will get carbon arcing across the grid board and then it's toast. This is one of those life lessons we all must learn. Good Luck

unscrew the cover from the back and use a hair dryer to dry the circuit board and let it set out over night then screw the cover back on

It is most likely ruined. However, try taking it apart and ensuring it is completely dry. If there is a microchip inside, this most likely won't work, either.
