Absolutely not. This is a personal choice and if the government started controlling how many children we can have they would be taking away my fredom of choice. When would it end? Would we be like China? They only allow a certain amount of children to be born in each family and girls are not allowed to be born or murdered just becauser they happen to be female.
I am completly in favor of my freedom of choice. I would not give it up without a fight.

The best way to control population is to close the doors to all immigration for at least 2 years. Its the younger immigrants that keep adding too many people. 30-40% of all births in the USA in 2005 were to immigrants! They multiply like rabbits. Do the math! This country is going to hell in a hand basket and our butt-kissing government is to blame.

Absolutely not! Freedom was what America was founded on, and that would give the government so much control! Population control will take care of itself! I live in Kansas and I can guarantee u that we are not overpopulated! The cities may be but that is a person's choice to live there!

No, it's a personal choice, not governmental and besides, the Christians would not allow it. They don't want any type of birth control NOW, let alone limiting the size of a family.

You start limiting family size and you end up with demographic shifts, where there will be too many older people and not enough young, working people to pay taxes to ensure the well-being of the older people. Policy has to be a mix of family policy and immigration policy.

Nope! Very few families have more than 2 children, Can't afford them! I guess that is self limiting in a way.

I can see how this would apply to India or China, but the USA only has just shy of 300 million. But our birthrate isn't really that high, so it's not that big a problem. So why would we need it?

no. how would they determine who had the right to have children and how many each family was entitled to. if they said each person could only have one birth people would just hormones and have six babies at once to get around the law. Besides we all know the rich could buy their right to have additional children anyway so the law wouldnt really affect them at all
