Arrrg. Hard to answer that. Waits and Cohen, different sounds, asthetics, levels, mood, etc. Both geniuses in their own right.
But if I HAD to choose. TOM WAITS

I love Leonard Cohen. Don't know much about Tom Waits though.

Oh, now that's just not a fair comparisson. Two totally different genre's of music for one.
Tom Waits is amazing, but so was Leonard Cohen. Simply unfair match.
