Being in the book business, I can verify that there is no onsale-date/publishing date for this book as yet. The date 07/07/07 is a rumor only at this time.
Today’s (26 June 06) City Paper quotes J.K Rowling herself as stating:"I am feeling sad as it is the last one. But so far, so good." But when pressed on when the book would be ready for publication would only say "I'm doing well I think. You can never really tell till you get near the end. I am not quite there yet."

i heard its going to be out on the 7 of july next year (07/07/07)since its seventh book stated by J K Rowling

I hear they want to have it out on 07/07/07.
And Order of the Phoenix is supposed to be out 07/13/07
J.K. is gonna make a ton of cash that month.
