You can't but you can put additional info under your question. If you want to say thanks, click on the username alongside the answer which will take you to that user's profile. If they have any contact details (often they don't), you can send a message to them.
Another way of saying thanks is to answer one of their questions and to put a note at the bottom. I am not very keen on this, really, because it counts as Chatting & Private Correspondence, which is against Community Guidelines.
Sometimes one has to live with the fact that this is not a forum or a message board system.

click on the answerers avatar and see if they have contact me thingy some do some dont otherwise go look at heir questions uder their page and answer them but not their question in particular but what you want to say to them
