i have been in a relationship 4 11 yrs and have 4 boys from him they r 5,6,7,and 8. and all he ever does is think of him and only him i feel like i am taken 4 granted and i'm starting to hate myself because of it.

first off ALL guys arent that way, only some of them are and you are dishonoring all of those good guys out there when you critisize guys in general. Second, your in this to deep to not do some serious damage to your kids and husband if you leave so I advise you just sit down with your husband and have a talk about it, and if it that doesnt work seek councelling because if you get out its going to really affect your kids.

I am married to a guy like that. I recently woke up and realized I deserve better and left him. We have 2 young boys and we are all doing fine on our own. Now I only have to deal with him on weekends and don't have him around constantly thinking he is always right and putting me down. BTW that sounds like you have your hands full with 4 young boys. I have it hard enough with just 2. Does he expect you to do all of the taking care of them? I told my spouse I have felt like a single mom anyway so its not that much more work living apart but way more peaceful. I wrote him letters a few yrs before telling him I felt taken for granted and unloved but it was still the same. Finally had to leave to keep my sanity. Don't stay and hate yourself.
I just noticed your nickname. It is not healthy to be married and still lonely. I felt the same way. Do you think counseling would help? I doubt it because men like that are usually too set in their ways to listen to anyone else.

guys (or girls) are selfish and inconsiderate because that is how they were raised by equally selfish and inconsiderate adults!
Get counseling - alone or together. Next time, get married so the kids will have some kind of protection from their selfish and inconsiderate parents. I pity your 4 boys!

Have you wondered how he is feeling? A vacation is what you need either by yourself or with some friends. Let your man handle things for a while.
