I was in the high fashion industry in the Chicago Area. First seek out the regular agencies and make sure you let them know you are interested in teen modeling.

Second you probably will be required to have a picture protfolio taken. Understand that these type of portfolios are generally nude and underwear pictures. So you want a photography studio that deals in models portfolios.

The modeling agencies you visit should be able to provide you with a list of SAFE studios. . If you do not go to a studio that was recommended by an agency, MAKE SURE YOU GET ALL NEGATIVES. You just never know where they will end up these days.

Third try and get into some local non-professional exhibits. Many local mom and pop shops look for youngsters to model thier clothing for public events and shows.

Fourth, Some High Schools now offer classes in modeling. Get involved in those. You need to know how to walk and properly carry yourself.

Last you will need a parent or guardian to go with you to any interview you have to model clothes. So make sure this is ok with your mom and dad.

Above all, please remember that modeling is a job just like any job. Be on time for all interviews and appointments. Be ready to work at a moments notice. Last, no matter how you feel, always smile.

Thats the best I can suggest to you. Good Luck.

Firstly research for at least another year with your mum.Email model agencies that are well known and get a list from them,or a list from a model info centre on the net.Go somewhere first like a website for black banned model agencies so you can eliminate those first.Do your research, stay at school and do your studies. They will take a girl who has been educated before a girl who isn't, accept if you are star quality. All ways take your mum with you for a job inter view or job,if they say she can't come along that should send up a red flag to you that something is not right.Get your mum and girlfriends to make a list of all your good qualities, things maybe that need changing etc...hair,clothes.And get photos and a resume. If you can't afford a pro get a friend to take a lot of photos and pick out the best ones.OK hope that helps cheers.

Anorexia is a mental illness and no agency is going to take on a girl who is suffering from any sort of illness. And anorexia stems from insecurity and self-hatrred, and you can't become a model if you are insecure and don't love yourself, because modeling is all about rejection. The average model goes to 100 go sees for every 1 job she gets booked on. Not many people can be rejected 99 times and keep going and not letting it affect them You need to be 1000% confident and love yourself and believe in yourself if you want to be a model - and someone who is 1000% confident does not become anorexic. Anorexics are people who hate themselves and have no confidence If you recover then you might have a chance but I would be in recovery for several years before you even think about getting into modeling. Because if you are still unstable, being rejected for job after job is going to send a fragile person back into the illness

I think 13 is way too young to be a model.... If I were you I would go to school and start out modeling when I was 16 or 17... but that's just me...

Seems like so many girls I've know have said they were models at some point, I don't know how but if there telling the truth then it can't be that difficult. I say, do some research on the internet.

Send a portfolio to Barbazon school of modeling. New

York just had their teen event.

You can go on line , I am sure,, and look for modeling agents, and send them a copy of your pictures.

And, make sure you have a lof of money to start w/ ..because that is what it takes until they start paying you.

Get an agent. Or go to John Casablanca's Modelling Agency. They're expensive but know what they're doing. Cindy Crawford, Tira Banks, etc. all started at JCMA. I took classes there. They also do voice and acting classes. FYI. @}->--
