i think i love someone but it just can't be...so i just want to move on and go on as his friend...

That's a really hard one. You never forget those people in your life that you have truly loved. It is such a cliche, but truly, time does heal.
In the past I have tried making new friends to forget the past love, but once I faced the truth, nobody could replace that one special person I was trying to forget.
I'm the wrong person to answer this question because I've been in an unhealthy relationship with someone I've been trying to forget for a year now.
Somehow we always end up talking again and all those old feelings come rushing back. I have even sacrificed new friends to be with the old friend I was trying to forget.
Your best bet is to get far away from the person you are trying to forget and don't have any communication with them at all.

You may need to spend some time apart from this guy before you can just be friends with him. Then you need to move on and date other guys. Once you start dating someone else you wont like your guy friend anymore, and then the two of you can be friends. In the meantime keep yourself busy and try not to think about him so much.

You can't. I loved a guy with all my heart, but he was really shy and guarded, so the relationship never went anywhere. Not even first base. So I broke up with him, didn't see him for a while, and then we started talking again. We're friends now, but I am still just as in love with him as I was the first moment I fell for him and it hurts every single day, especially when we're together.
You won't forget. You most likely can't move on. You shouldn't be his friend.

sweetheart .. Forget them and go for his friend .. well.. were to start with that .. lets start by saying not a good idea @ all .. you cant forget someobe or get over someone until your heart is ready to .. i have learned from experiance you really cant go from guy to guy because in the end you end up heart .. you wont forget it will only make things worse .. especailly by you trying to go for his friend .. dont do that hunni .. im promiseing you that is not a good idea wait for a wile until your heart is over that other person b4 you try going after anyone else .. i know it is sooo hard to do to just want to forget someone you love soooo much but you cant .. but in time i have learned you dont ever forget but your feelins do eventually fade i wish you the best of luck really i do ..

you r always going to have him in ur heart and it is going to be really hard to forget it because iv been there and done that.. i mean u r gona get feelings back again jus when u think u r over him, but the best way to get ride of him to find in urself wat really wants u to forget about this person.. after while u will realize u may have loved him, but there r so many other guys out there and as soon as u find another guy u will forget all about the other guy..

you can never forget a person whom your truely in love with,but perhaps if he is not your one true love you will forget him in time, but because your still mates with him it is going to be harder for you try going out with new guys and find some new friends too
