They have the best record in baseball (even though the Sox are only two games behind them, as of June 27) and they are way in front right now for the wild card position if Chicago should happen to win the AL Central. Leyland has them playing disciplined, focused, and winning baseball, and I don't see that changing as the season goes on. I say they will defintely still be playing come mid-October.

I think they'll keep it going, but will end up a wild card. The white sox are just good all around, and if you are banking on injuries, then you aren't really a smart fan. Sox are just too strong, and with the pitching comming around, they will catch up. it will be a dog fight til the end though, i garuntee that.
There are just too many inconsitencies with the east, so wild card is deffinetly gonna be decided in the Central this year, with the two best teams in baseball right now.

Yes, I think they will be in the "World" Series and then the Cardinals can finally exact revenge for the 1968 Series. Nevermind what happened today. You can't judge the postseason solely on regular season games, though I hope the Cardinals pitching gets better.

They need to get some more pitching and maybe another bat, but they've got a shot at it. I think the AL wild card will come out of the Central for the first time ever.

of course the tigers will be in the playoffs, all they have to worry about is the white soxs, but will they win in the playoffs is the real question?

i think they will make the playoffs, they might not get out of the first series they play in because of there young pitching but they should make it unless they collaspe and another team catches fire.

Seriously doubt it but if they do they'll be easy for the Cards to handle.
