I live in the northeast and I pay a lot of money for property taxes. I would like to move to some state where its affordable.

I think I would like to live in a constant state of euphoria. I dunno..The state I live in(Mid-atlantic) is run by a bunch of money hungry vultures.

I don't know a good state, but I think I'll just warn you and say not Florida! There are a lot of taxes to go to all the nursing homes and property and stuff is expensive because of all the rich old people who live in their condos on the beach. Plus when hurricanes come it sucks.

I believe most states in the west with the exception of California have pretty low property taxes.
Id live in Arizona if I had the chance.

Don't move to Kansas!!! THEY LIE! They claim they have great jobs, low taxes, low cost of living... but it's crap.
My husbands job is about 15 dollars per hour lower than he would be paid in any other state in the nation.
Great housing cost here though.
Too bad the wages barely cover it... and thats before food, clothing, entertainment, utilities, transportation... etc.
Kansas sickens me.

If you can stand the heat than Arizona. We are so affordable that people from California are moving here. Then if it gets to hot for you, just go north to Flagstaff and enjoy the cooler weather.

Atlanta, Georgia or Austin, Texas. I grew up in Georgia and moved to Austin. It's beautiful in both states. The South is where the love is!
