In other words, will everyone eventually speak one language, speak the same slang, develop extremely similar cultures and have similar accents?

I think it's already happening, and America is the cultural epicenter of it all...for now, at least.

English is fast dominating the world...will it eventually replace all languages?

I agree for the most part. Most cultures will still keep their languages and accent. English is becoming the main language for business the way French used to be.

I think that is not an absolute question, culture is definitely a complex thing that cannot be defined by having same media, or values alone.
Culture may be superficially coated by fast communicaiton, globally accepted TV programs, songs and artists, but deep down, no, there are subcultures, there are roots of cultures on every continent. Asians have their base language in the Oriental setting, not english.
America is just becomingmore diverse, more immigrants are flooding America now due to the shortage of skilled workers there, so it is not true we are migrating towards a monoculture. Ever since the tower of babel got erected and stopped midway in construction, cultures were scattered already.

I dont think they will. I think this is an intresting idea and that it belongs in philosophy..lol
But I have to say niegh to this thought because there are hundreds or thousands of people who always want to seperate themselves from others..Look at racist people, pretty soon they will create their own language.
Not every other country has an opportunity to learn the AMAZING, WONDERFUL LANGUAGE english !!! (bleh) so I dont think it will dominate.
