I like anime characters but I have no CLUE why!

Hot as in sexy or hot as in cool?
Anime is cool maybe because it's from Japan (and now also South Korea), but also maybe because it bridges the gap between childhood cartoons and more adult television/film. Some anime deals with more serious topics, which to some is cool. Of course, the art style is very different than Western animation, and different stuff is cool. Anime, like many other things, is cool because it depicts fantasy worlds, which we wish we could escape to, away from our mundane reality.
Anime is (sometimes) sexy because it often depicts fantasies, perfect beings without flaw (or with flaws that only enhance the perfection). Not only are various ideals of physical beauty easily found in anime where real people have less perfect visages, the acted personality of the character can be made attractive to various groups (the serious guy, the nerdy chick, the tragic hero, the faerie princess, etc.). As a medium of fantasy, and in keeping with more adult themes, anime is often used pornographically to depict a multitude of scenarios a human almost never would or could take part in, but the fantasies are still there.

I love anime characters - I have 1 on my cell phone - and I think that Howl from the movie Howls Moving Castle is sooo hot with the black hair.

Not everyone thinks anime characters are hot. I don't think they are. Maybe its because you like anime and thats just one thing you like about anime.

Some people have an natural (sometimes even sexual) attraction towards animation, because it's most of the time drawn perfectly and do not reflect or poses physical properties to which people are used to.

It depends. The girls are drawn the best they can be in the "fantasy land" with big breasts and cute faces with hair of all colors and the guys are always drawn to be skinny, with good-looking faces and usually a good body.
I don't know. Most guys drop their faces on female anime characters, and girls drop their faces on male anime characters.
There are times when I drop my face, but it's not that bad.
It totally depends on your own perspective.

Some people just think that because anime is one of the best, closely drawn animation of humans. But they're features are way over exaggerated. ( . Y . ) Yeah right.

I for one am not into anime, but I've read one or two books. I find them kind of difficult to read them backwords...
Anyway,
Maybe some people imagine them as real people, and think that they're hot? I'm not sure, but think about what it is that makes you like them, and thats probobly why people- or at least you- like anime charachters.

lol. this is a good one. mostly it's guys who think the anime girls are hot. because they can't find a girl in real life. me personally i think people attracted to cartoon characters need to find a new hobby or seek help.

It's the hint of suggestion - like Lara Croft and her big boobs, like two women together in The Sims2, like artwork by Patrick Nagel and Dennis Mukai. And whoah girl! You sure look like a hottie yourself!

Maybe because they are made to be unrealisticly beautiful and have wonderful personalties. The women are all thin and beautiful and obediant , the men are all handsome and kind hearted. Nothing like real life.
