To get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 5 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

I know it can be tough trying to concieve and sometimes you feel like your on a emotional roller coaster, however the question you asked needs medical attention ASAP. Your weight gain could be from so many things, theres no way to tell until you get a CBC ( its a standard blood test of mostly everything in your body). Getting answers from this forum related to that issue is not the best route.
It sounds like your desperate for an answer however you want the most accurate answer possible and that requires a doctor. Good luck in your quest to bring another blessing to the world!

It is very possible have a period through the hole pregnancy or for a couple of months which is aka spotting. After conception and 5-7 day after a miss period your body starts to produce a hormone makes a test positive. From my personal experience and please don't take offense, but the mind is a very powerful thing if you think your preg. you will gain wight and your belly look like you are preg. and all the symptoms will be there. For me the month I thought I was preg. got taken away from me that one trip to the bathroom and I see the blood. It brakes my heart. Don't put your self though that go to see a DR. to confirm.
If your not, don't lose hope keep trying. I wish you the best of luck.

There are several other factors that could cause you to gain weight and have abnormal periods, the first things that comes to mind is PCOS. PCOS is left untreated can lead to infertility so its important to get your hormone levels checked by a physician. They may want to see you at specific times in your cycle, so you may want to get a beta blood test to check for pregnancy while you're there. If its pregnancy causing your period to be off, then congrats. If its not, then early detection is the best way to prevent long term problems. Best of luck to you!!

I know what you mean about some responders being rude. I hope that I am not in that category.... Yes you COULD be pregnant,....... nothing is impossible. If you are NOT pregnant, I think that you should see a doctor when you can, because there might be something seriously wrong with you, and wouldnt you hate yourself, if it DID turn out to be serious and you COULD have done something about it!?!?! Regardless, one way or another, a doctor's visit is in order. That way, you will know, one way or another. That is my opinion, and I hope that you do not think of me as rude......... Thanks for listening.

I knew a girl who got her period when she was pregnant. My sister took a pregnancy test that said she was pregnant, then she had two tests with a negative reading, finally she went to the doctor and she was pregnant. If you are pregnant and having your period, it is a possibilty that maybe your body is not recognizing your pregnant and so it won't show on the test . I would go to the doctor, if this is abnormal for you it would be good to get checked whether you are pregnant or not. Good Luck!

My best friend got her period up until she was 4 months pregnant...
She went to the doctor thinking she was only 2 months caused she had only missed one or two periods, and she was actually almost 6 months.
So, anything is possible. You probably need to go to the doctor and have an ultrasound.

you are probably just having symptoms of pregnancy because you want to be pregnant, or you could be depressed which could cause you to gain weight. either way even when you are pregnant you dont just gain weight for no reason, you gain it because you eat more, so i would say that just because you are gaining weight should not be a reason to think you are pregnant, however if you have taken a test and it was neg-and you have your period i would bet you are not. you could be but only a doctor could really tell you that.

i can put myself in your situation because thats how i am right now only i dont have any children but i thought i was pregnant also because i was late but then i had it. i took the test before i got my period but it came out negative!! i have never been late on my period and this month i was so it was weird. also i have been a little disgusted at certain foods. i cant even smell them becuase it makes me want to puke but when i get to the restroom i dont! all i can say is go the doctor and have yourself cheked. as well as myself, i would do the same. if we never go we would never know! right?
