Mostly just the current game & the next game. But if the foul was really severe or worse intended than acceptable, then you could face a more severe penalty. Just like what Rossi of Italy is facing (4-match ban, means he's out of the WC).

depends on the foult, because if you do one fault that deserved one yellow card, and then another that deserved one yellow card it means you miss that game and the next one, but if you do something like to spit your opponent, insult him by racism, punch him on the face for no reasons, you can miss more than 3 games, for example, Danielle de Rossi from italy, because of the fault he did to the american fellow he will miss 4 games, so it depends on how bad the fault was
