I personally think we should have not allowed it to go on this far. He and his henchmen should have been impeached and thrown out of office when we all found out it was not the truth that we went to war to get the bad weapons out of Iraq. This was a blatant lie to the american people and should have been dealt with right then. But we have a wishy washy congress that is afraid to do the right thing for the American people and they should all be voted out in the coming elections

The U. S. Constitution divides the power into three branches of government. You are falling for the "spin" the media is putting on his power. The checks and balances are working just fine. After you read the Constitution and understad what branch of government can do what, you will see that Congress has participated as well--it's not just the President.
We have the greatest example of government in the world. America is not very old by most standards, yet our form of government has allowed us to be the most successful and richest nation in the world.

You Starbucks patriots kill me. Siping on coffee, reading High Times & have "Ihate Bush" stickers on the Volvo........
Bush Is doing the job we are paying him to do. Unlike Bill Clinton's admin who was too busy being PC & covering his ***. The measures taken have all be needed to stop the advance of terrorism and to improve national security. We don't care about your calls to the take out pizza joint or if your late paying your Visa.
This operation should be secret. The disclosure of our ability to track infomation, funding, decode signals, or extract info from prisoners is dangerous! Covert agents are risks, terrorists will change methods and tactics thus leading to cold trails. "His power trip" as you call it, is the power given to him as Commander in Chief and backed by Congressional action. Your partisian blindness has clouded your judgement. Trust me, Bush wants to Leave Washington DC as soon as he can. It's a job that all covet but few really want. If you want it, there's a open seat in'08.

I think the real problem isn't totally Bush. (Well not totally...) Think about who will be next in office. Will that new president use these expanded powers to his advantage. There has been no fore thought about the balance of power between the branches of government. The executive branch could grow too powerful and then neuter the other two branches. Then what... huh?

Hopefully Jeb Bush runs in '08, and the all powerful Bushes can steal another election. At least that will ensure another 4 years of killing radical Islamo-Fascists before thaey can kill us!
The Democrats certainly don't have a viable candidate in '08, just hopefuls from the past (Kerry, Gore) and unelectable far left finatics (Hill).

There are a lot of ifs here, if the democrats take over as a majority in either house he will have to contend with checks and balances in his life for the first time. If they take over both houses, he will be up on charges I am sure as he has no regard for the law or the constitution. I know that this is many ifs but it really could happen.

Yes, of course it is right, the power that he has at his disposal. And so far, he has beenb exercising it very judiciously. I don't think you caould ask for a better or more mature or reasoned president. I am glad, and I feel lucky that he is our president. Let's hope his brother Jeb Bush decides to run in 2008.

Just wait until he has to face a constitutionally mandated exit from office on January 20, 2009. Until then, we have to put up with his foolishness about high oil prices, the illegal Iraqi war that has turned into a full-scale quagmire and the associated lies, etc. I rather see him impeached and removed from office _well_ beforehand!

Would this be a problem for you if this were a liberal president? It seems you have a problem with President Bush having any power. He has used his power quite well, and is a very good president.

He's gonna be there until 2008 and there is nothing we can do about it. Even if we did try to impeach him, he would over ride anything we did just as he does now. It's sad but true. Wait until he gets back to Texas! Boy, do I feel really sorry for that state.
