Great singer, both in Deep Purple and Whitesnake.

coverdale was 2nd best to ian gillian in deep purple but as the founder of whitesnake, he was excellent. the joint venture he did with jimmy page was bloddy excellent.

One helluva singer. I feel kinda bad for him marrying that crazy red head though.

he is ok in his own right, but like anyone would, he makes a poor substitute for Robert Plant.
