Both--
Always dress your age or you will end up either looking to young or too old.
And dress to your body type if you are super skinny wear flowy skirts and if you are 13-17 it can be short-if your 18-26 could be medium lenght if you are 27-and up it should be long.

Use those age markers and it will make you look your age but still looking great,

there isn't exactly a standard for "normal attire", but...kind of obvious things

I guess it really depends on your personality. I mean, elderly people tend to not wear bright colors, but if that's their personality, some still do.

So basically, I think people should dress appropriate to their personality, but still dress reasonably for their body type (i.e., don't wear clothes that aren't your size)

Definetly your age! There's nothing more disgusting than seeing a 50 or 60 year old woman in a mini skirt with her boobs hanging out!

I think you should dress how you want, so I guess that means both. Unfortunately there are a lot of heavier girls who wear shirts with their belly sticking out which isn't appealing, but that's how they want to dress and are comfy with it, so not much we can do about it. Dress how your comfy.

both... but i have the tendency to say "dress your age". why? because it is not nice to see an elderly woman wearing a mini skirt instead of an appropriate knee-length skirt.
