It was nasty and rude, but I give you some points for finding a way to connect with her mom. Crude as it may be, at least the two of you were laughing together. On the whole, your wife should consider that a success.

So what... you and your wife's mom are both teenager???? I'm sorry, fart contests are the kind of things that young men get into, and they certainly don't do it at their girlfriends/wifes parents place. Would you behave that way in front of your own mother? Grow up, and act like a man...instead of just a male.

I don't know what these people are saying. I think that it is a definite ice breaker. That is not to say to do it again or to try with other girl's parents (or anyone else for that matter) but if it slipped out the first time and she was cool enough to make a game of it - then all the better. Thats a cool chick. Just don't do it again! ;-)

Different people have different ideas about what rude is. I know at my house that would be perfectly fine, however at someone else's house it would be very rude. Consider what the unspoken rules are at your house when considering the rudeness of the situation.

well if the mother did not like it then yes it was rude , but if the mother in law was challenging you then well i guess it would still be better not to do it even if they dont mind, your wife does not want to be embarrassed so i would at least apologize for it and dont do it again.

I wopuld apologise to my wife even thou my mother in law thought it was a hoot an nanny but u should more respect to her family it would show them u r stil a gentlemen

it is very nasty --- you could have your farting contest away from other people and on the dining area... if you both can take the smell, please consider other people --- it is very obnoxious.
