I dont know, but i had used a specific deoderant for years, but I found until recently its not very effective. Try different brands and models of brands to see what makes you smell the least. im a male and tried Dove "Powder" and it works very well. Its also got a scent like a baby, and it doesnt leave any chunks of white stuff like my last deoderant did.

I have found that different scents of deodorant make a difference. I can use the powder fresh ones with no problem, but the spring rain, spring breeze or whatever they are called do nothing for me. I feel like I stink all the time unless I use the powder scent.

It has to do with their body chemistry, assuming they are showering with a good deodorant soap every day and have no other hygiene issues. Keep trying different brands of deodorants/antiperspirants until you find one that does work. My daughter has that problem, the only one we've found so far that works for her is Ban.

It does, they just don't use it or not enough. A better question might be is why don't showers work for some people. It's because they don't take very many or don't bother using soap all over.
