i've been in this situation but not in your shoes, i was on the other side of the relationship.. the guy just told me straight away that he liked me more than a friend.. and we've been together for 5 years now.. =D so my advice would be, just say it.. what do u have to lose? even if he didn't like u back, if he's a real best friend it would just be another thing that u go through.. and you'll laugh when you think back about it..

The same thing happend 2 me. Just tell him how u feel or write him a note if your too shy. I did this with my friend and now we're bf/gf.

Well he's your best friend, if you like him he's going to notice that your acting different unless you have liked him since you met him. Just calmly ask him. If he says no then nothing changes your still friends.
