Absolutely. Especially if that person's whole heart is into you. Why would you cheat on someone? That is the one thing I could never understand and will probably never. There will always be temptation but if you don't want to be with a person then don't be with that person. Would you be hurt if you were rejected in that way. What if you were totally in love with a person and they did that to you? Think of how it would make you feel. Would you be "EMOTIONALLY" abused. Abuse means to hurt another intentionally. Why if you are a human being would you want to do that? I hope this answers your question. And if you are the one that is doing the cheating I hope you think twice about it. If it is being done to you I am sorry for your situation.

Abuse? No. Injustice, yes. That is a really crappy thing to do. How would you feel if you're spouse cheated on you? Just put yourself in other's shoes before doing something so horrible to the one you love. Good luck ;) and don't cheat and if you have, karma is a *****!

Yes cheating on your spouse is emotional abuse. IT shows lack of respect and it is plain disgusting. Why would you even ask this question? Why even get married?

Emotions are feelings. How would you FEEL if your spouse cheated? You would not feel good. Your feelings would be hurt beyond imagination. Your heart would be broken. How can you comprehend , WHY? Think about it. And you will get your answer/

I think it is one type of emotional abuse, yes. Being unfaithful to your partner sends them a very negative message about how you feel about them. It is cruel, disrespectful, and potentially harmful to your and your partners health. It breaks trust, and is irresponsible. All of this adds up to emotional abuse to the Maximum!!

Yes it really is. It emotionally wipes you out, and the longer you stay, the more it wears on your mind. I know. I'm in a relationship where my boyfriend cheated.

To you, your spouse, or the person your are cheating with. Abuse is dependent upon your knowledge of the situation and how you perceive it.
