Either move the decimal two places to the left (I think). (Dividing by 100 gives the same result) Or you use the 3rd button and then press the button with the blue % sign above it, on your calculator.

Potentially compex answer,
Search for the manaul that came with the calculator.
Thro the years, alot of different format were used for entering a calculation into a calculator.
RPN, Direct keying in (What you see, what you key) and notation keying method.
Experiment.

It depends on the calculator. If you wanted to find, for example, 4% of $300, you would type 4, %, 300, = and it would give you the answer.

If it a a "2nd" button, press that then press the button that has then press the button that has % over it. Or you could obvious just divivde your number by 100.

type what ever you are doing : eg: 100 then hit the percent button, then your percentage....I think. It's been a long time for me too!

take 10.00 x 7 after hitting the 7 hit the % key that will tell you 7 % of ten dollars if you hit the add total key it will add it to the original telling the 7% tax added to $10.00

multiply by tenths...to find 25% multiply the number by .025 or maybe it was .25. Something like that.
