(I assume you're on windows and ie)

You cannot. Your history is just links. When they are deleted, they are gone for good. However, there's a good chance the Temporary Internet Files (webpages, images, etc. saved locally when you view something online) my still be on your computer, because they are usually set to stay around until they reach a certain amount of disk space (Look in your Internet Options). You can index the files by Internet Address, see if you can find the URL.

Temp Internet Files are found in on xp:
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
(replace "Administrator" with your windows user id.)

If you deleted them, they're gone. If you just want to get back to a particular web page, go to a search engine and type any words you know are in the page. Works most of the time for me.

You don't. They're gone unless you back up your files every day.
