i have these melodied going in my head,but i just can't write it down,cuz i don't know how to write songs.how u guys do it though?u go get a teacher?or it just comes natrally?

I think a good start to writing music is to be able to read it. Take a class in reading that will really help your composition skills.

Yes, there is always a team. Some of the best bands in the world write music with other musicians in the band. Pick up a CD and look to see who wrote it. Pop stars hardly ever write thier own stuff. So you can use outside help as well. Music teachers may be good if they are free. If you have money find someone that's a music writer. Look at you local recording studio. There's one closer than you think. You don't have to live in LA or NY

Get a guitar, learn a few chords, get some song books and try to play and sing the songs. Get some lessons if you need to, or a DVD that shows how. It is fun and will be a lifetime hobby once you get on to it. Good luck.

Think about your feelings and write about it, then make a tune to it and stuff.
