I would think very, very few people would have one.
First, you would need a swamp or river for them to stay in.
Then, you would have to remove the POISONOUS barbs on their hind feet or you would be stabbed!

They are so cool. I have never seen one except on TV. But I doubt with that venomous spur that it would make a pet, actually any wild animal is not a good pet.

Sure wish there was a zoo where I could go see one.

I don't think they'd make a very good pet - the male's have a poisinous barb on their hind leg. I wouldn't suggest getting one for a pet.

it is actually illegal to keep wild animals in your home or backyard unless you have a license, so no.
