i don't think there is a good enough excuse that works every time.
however, i do know that i have had 5 speeding tickets dismissed.
that means u don't pay anything and it doesn't go on your record.
all i did was dispute them in court instead of paying the fine. just call the court and set a court date.
4 out of 5 times the officer who issued the ticket did not show and the judge had to throw out the charges. the one time the opfficer showed he couldn't remember the details, but i could and the judge had to side with me and ruled in my favor.
this has worked for my sister and husband. now that i know to dipute the tcket, i don't really stress anymore when i get a ticket.

If you are military, or inactive and have your card, I always handed that ID over with my drivers license. Many cops are ex-military. Worked for me all four times I had to use it.
Another time the cop worked with my mom as a ski instructor...got out of that one.
Another time the cop just wanted to yell at me...no ticket.
Two other times the cop was just looking for minors out past curfew and a backwoods party...no ticket there.
Another ticket I just didn't pay. Probably got lucky I wasn't caught there.
Come to think of it, I've been pulled over probably 12 or 15 times, and only gotten one ticket. I consider myself lucky.

My friend's mom told a cop that she had diarrhea and if she didn't get to a bathroom she was going to crap all over herself. She said he let her go.

when cop asks do you know how fast you were going back there? you say: not as fast as you were trying to catch up to me.
or if he asks do you know why i pulled you over ? say that depends on how long you were following me.
